Recently Bob wrote to FLYING MAGAZINE and requested
permission to post this beautiful visible cross-section rendering of the B-24 on
the 456th Bomb Group Association site. They graciously agreed, and Bob scanned his original October,
1945 cutaway graphic to produce this image. The only modification has been to
selectively "wash out" the scanner's interpretation of the yellowed
page fields, and add the 456th site URL. This is a very sizable image and will take time to load, and will
require you to use the pan and elevate bars on your browser to see the entire
image. But this allows the detail to remain crisp and the image powerful. Many
