"Rau Dee Dow" of the 747th Sqdn. See also "Rau Dee Dau" here.

"Old Men", 747th Sqdn.  S/N on tail 128661. Note this is an early photo with the tail diamond in white on a olive-drab painted tail, with red lower half.

Received from Al Couture in reference to this photo the following: Old Men/New Men--the 456th Group Paper published in August 1944/page 7 has an entry that following a mission the crew decided to change the name from Old Men to New Men. See the A/C name listing.

"Preg-Peg", S/N 41-29283 of the 747th Bomb Squadron, with Nicholas A. Novitsky (AKA "Nick the Greek). It is believed Nick painted the artwork on the aircraft behind him.

"Gin Rae", an aircraft of mystery. While indisputably flown with the 746th Bomb Squadron in early 1945, she apparently was the same aircraft that was MIA from the 376th Bomb Group, 512th Bomb Squadron, on July 3rd, 1944 (MACR #6762). Watch for this to be clarified soon.

"Lonesome Polecat," S/N 42-78098, of the 747th Squadron.
